Barcelona is a place where you can find numerous lovely cafés. For many years the culture of drinking specialty coffee made of good quality grains was expanding in Catalonia and now the city became a gem to explore this kind of activity. Everybody loves their morning coffee, so if you are a lover of specialty coffee places, you like to work and study while having your daily dose of caffeine or you just enjoy its taste our present article was made for you! Don’t worry, you will not experience any weird tasting coffee during your Erasmus or internship program, just take your friends with you on a chill afternoon and explore the top 5 cafes in Barcelona together!

#1 Nomad cofee – Lab&Shop

Probably the most popular coffee place in Barcelona, every article writes about this place and we are not surprised because the coffee tastes there like heaven. They have a few locations, and you can find there big selections of beans and try different flavors to discover your favorite. Sadly they don’t offer wi-fi, but hey we have the internet on our phones! They are providers of beans to many coffee places in Barcelona, so it needs to mean something. Also, they have their shop in the café, so you can buy there their coffee and enjoy it in your house. We can say with a true heart that their cold brew is a must-have in Barcelona.

#2 Satan’s Cofee Corner

Cozy coffee shop in Raval, which has grown to a few locations with specialty coffee. Always crowded, and you can try their hot and cold breakfast, lunch, and coffee. Really small place, but you can enjoy this pleasant atmosphere and listen to great music. Also, this is a perfect place for a date! 😉 And let’s not forget about their incredibly good kombucha and hot chocolate!

#3 Syra Coffee

A small coffee shop that will steal your heart. You can find there warm and cozy, natural wood interior with a lot of house plants. Try their cold brews, flat whites and of course the very tasty cinnamon babka and sandwiches. They have 14 localizations so it’s hard to miss that place.

#4 Espai Joliu

Hipster place, where you can enjoy specialty coffee, houseplants and industrial design inside a stone brick building in Poble Nou. You will find there amazing pastries (also vegan) and fantastic cappuccino. Doughnuts are 10/10. They offer free WiFi, a cozy vibe, romantic atmosphere, so it’s a good place for any kind of meeting.

They roast their coffee and it’s fantastic. The interior design involves bricks, plants, natural wood, and a very cheerful atmosphere. You can buy their coffee beans to your home. The place is very calm, so you can easily work or study there.
