Palau de la Música Catalana

This beautiful venue has spectacular architecture and has more than 300.000 visits every year, it even has guided tours, a shop, a restaurant, and a documentation center. Palau de la Música Catalana was built in 1905 and they wish to promote music, particularly choir singing and some of their values are excellence, social commitment, and Catalan identity. They also wish to invite the audience to experience musical emotions with the purpose of enhancing the audience’s life in difficult times. Razzmatazz

Razzmatazz is a big nightclub that hosts several concerts every week, both international and national artists, and newcomers and big names such as Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Kanye West, James Blake, and Coldplay have been performing in this popular venue. It was established in 2000 and have been providing the audience with the newest musical trends on their independent scene ever since. The club has 4 different rooms: The Razzclub, The Loft, Lolita, Pop Bar, and Rex Room and the music are genres like pop, rock, and electronic music. Sala Apolo

Sala Apolo was established in 1943 but was made into a modern concert hall and nightclub in 1991. It is a popular live music venue with a modern and informal vibe in a cool building. There are both newcomers and bigger names performing on the stage and the music is genres like pop, rock, and electronic. When visiting this venue, you will have a fun night in a crowded building full of international and national people who enjoy dancing and singing along to live music just as much as you do!

L’Auditori

L’Auditori is a modern building, it is 42,00 square meters big and it opened in 1999. It is designed by the famous architect Rafael Moneo. The venue puts a focus on musical life in the city, but it hosts other events as well such as speeches and lectures. L’Auditori has several concert halls and each of them is named after a Catalan musician: the symphony hall, the Sala Pau Casals, the Sala Oriol Martorell and the Sala Tete Montoliu. The main auditorium is Sala Pau Casals which can seat 2.340 people. The halls have spectacular acoustics and it is possible to experience a wide variety of musical styles such as rock, symphonic music, and singer-songwriters. If you prefer a nice and calmer concert experience rather than going to a wild concert at a nightclub, this will be a suitable spot for you.

Jamboree

The venue of Jamboree is beyond the usual. It is a cave-like basement spot located in famous Plaça Reial, who mainly hosts jazz concerts, it is actually one of the most popular jazz spots in Barcelona. They have brought many well-known jazz musicians to the stage and the venue is also an essential element of the Plaça Reial nightlife. Besides jazz, it is possible to experience both Latin and blues gigs. Jamboree becomes a nightclub later in the evening where the DJ mostly plays RnB, hip hop, and commercial hits. If you want to experience the fun nightclub after listening to a jazz concert earlier on, be aware that you have to leave the venue and enter again to get into the nightclub.
