South of France is a wonderful area with a wide variety of places to visit. On the first part of this trip we will go to see the first Roman colony outside of Italy – Nimes and we will be entering “the Roman galleries of the Horreum”. Nîmes has a rich history, dating back to the Roman Empire when the city was home to 50,000–60,000 people and several famous monuments are in Nîmes, such as the Nîmes Arena and the Maison Carrée, for this reason this town is often referred to as the French Rome. The second part of the trip will be dedicated to Montpellier – the city with the most rapid growth in France. The city is famous for its Roman heritage and historic sights. During the whole trip we will have walking tours with professional guides who will introduce us to various places.
