When May comes, the famous town of Girona bursts into bloom! The annual flower festival is a vibrant celebration of color and creativity, attracting thousands of visitors. During this festival, the streets of Girona come alive with the prettiest floral displays all around its adorning historic landmarks and picturesque plazas. Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of thousands of flowers set in stunning arrangements, creating a magical atmosphere that is hard to forget.
Girona is a lovely city in the northeast of Catalonia. The city is divided by the river Onyar: the old town is on the east of it and the more modern section is on the west side. Are you a Game of Thrones fan? You will have the opportunity to see the Game of Thrones filming locations!
During this trip, we will have a chance to visit Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí and go to his Theatre-Museum, which is the largest surrealistic object in the world. If you want to enter the Dalí Museum, you will be able to buy your ticket in the box office of the museum for €14 (this is the discount price for students).
The last stop on our trip is a well preserved medieval villag, Besalú. You’ll be amazed by its ancient walls, its picturesque bridge and the unique vibes!
